Award winning family visitor attraction, Beaulieu has signed up to support Light the South which takes place in Southampton and Cowes from July to September.
The spectacular free art trail features 40 lighthouses, each standing 8ft tall, crafted by a selection of top local and renowned artists to form unique masterpieces. In addition to the main trail, there are 40 smaller sculptures called Little Lights, designed by local schools and community groups, creating a family-friendly trail of discovery and adventure for both visitors and residents to explore and enjoy.
Light the South will run from July 13th to September 1st and end with a grand farewell finale where all the Lighthouse sculptures will be brought together under one roof at the Southampton International Boat Show to be auctioned to raise money for Southampton Hospitals Charity to support Southampton Children’s Hospital.
Ellis Banfield, Southampton Hospitals Charity Chief Executive, said: “We are immensely grateful to Beaulieu, a cornerstone of British heritage, for their generous sponsorship of one of our lighthouses. Their commitment to creating enjoyable experiences for families aligns perfectly with what Light the South offers, and their support will help us further enrich, inspire and connect our community in a fun and engaging way.”
Rachael Goldstraw, Beaulieu’s Head of Marketing and Business Development said “We are delighted to be taking part in the Light the South Art Trail and in doing so supporting a very important local cause, Southampton Hospitals Charity. We are looking forward to seeing visitors enjoying the trail, and seeing our sponsored lighthouse, Always The Sun, bringing a ray of sunshine to passers-by in the centre of Southampton.”
