Custom and American Show
We are delighted to announce the return of the Custom and American Show in 2027.
With hundreds of cool American motors, colourful custom cars and bikes, live music and hip entertainment, this is a family show not to be missed!
Held in association with the Solent Renegades club, and celebrating the truly individual creations of the motoring world, the Custom and American Show is a summer’s day out that is too good to be missed!
This family friendly event is the perfect day out for Father’s Day. As well as all the incredible vehicles, visitors can enjoy great live entertainment, a fairground and face painting and glitter tattoos for all the family.
The Custom and American Show is proud to be sponsored by Illinois Route 66. As this year marks 100 years of Route 66 we’re delighted they were able to join us at this year's show.

Amazing vehicles
A stunning display of American motors are always at the heart of this amazing show. From classic Camaros to modern Mustangs, did you spot your dream car? Add to that a jaw-dropping line-up of custom cars, bikes and trikes, plus hot rods, this year's line-up was truly diverse!
Once again, we showcased a display of iconic cars from film and television that visitors could recognise. Included in the line-up was Scooby Doo’s Mystery Machine, KITT from Knight Rider, a Delorean Time Machine from Back to the Future, Herbie, an Austin Powers tribute car and the Dodge Monaco 350 from The Blues Brothers.
Andy Saunders
Custom car builder and Custom & American Show Ambassador Andy Saunders returned with a selection of his unique creations.
Visitors could see Andy’s latest creation, Daroo 1/3, which was first unveiled at last year’s event, along with the latest updates to Tetanus and Maxime Xavier’s Sundancer.
Live Entertainment
As always, live music brought the buzz to the show! This year we were thrilled to welcome Dorset-based, country- and folk-infused band Route 66, alongside the ultimate crowd-pleaser, Craig Jefferson’s Elvis tribute act. Plus, new for 2026 and making their debut at the show Carrie-Anne took to the stage with her Dolly Parton Tribute act.
Adding even more excitement, Resolution Dance Company returned with their high-energy, American-style cheerleading performances.
Prize Giving
A fantastic selection of awards were presented throughout the day, including The People’s Best in Show, The Solent Renegades Choice, the Brian Ackland Memorial Award, and the Andy Saunders Award. Plus, showgoers could vote for their favourite vehicle in the People’s Best in Show Award!
We also hosted a special Father’s Day Prize Draw, with one lucky winner chosen at random.
The prize-giving ceremony took place at 3.30pm in the Arena. We’re proud to be sponsored by Vibrant Forest Brewery, the official Awards and Prize-Giving Sponsor.
Feature Cars & Photo opportunities
Fancy meeting the stars? Tribute acts Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton stepped off the stage for photos with the crowds.
This year, The Flintmobile from the classic 1960s cartoon The Flintstones made its debut alongside the iconic, high-tech, and heavily armoured Batmobile 66 from the Batman franchise.
Visitors could also get a snap a shot in the giant deckchair, rounding out the selection of fun and memorable photo opportunities.
We’d love to see your favourite moments: share your photos from the event using #customandamerican!
Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos
Visitors could get photo-ready and add a splash of colour to their day with our free face painting, perfect for all the family!
Plus, our talented glitter artists were offering a dazzling glitter tattoo, free of charge.
UK Country Hat Bar – A Custom Cowboy Hat Experience*
Rev up your style at The Hat Bar, where Americana spirit and creativity collide!
Showgoers could stop by their bar and design their own one-of-a-kind cowboy hat – the perfect complement to all things red, white, and blue. Visitors could choose from a curated selection of wraps, bands, and accessories to craft a hat that’s uniquely theirs.
Their friendly Hat Bar team were there to help customise every detail and capture those photo-worthy moments along the way.
Transformers Display Meet the walking, Talking Transformers!
Back by popular demand, this year’s world-first display featured the much-loved and slightly scary walking and talking robots! Visitors could get up close to Bumblebee, Vintage Bumblebee from the recent Bumblebee movie, Jazz, and Barricade, the menacing Decepticon police car. Plus, the full-size Optimus Prime truck, an absolute showstopper for fans of all ages!
Ghost Busters
The Ghostbusters made an appearance! Visitors could check out the iconic Ecto-1 on display fully equipped with ghost-catching gear and proton packs, plus traps with ESP experience for visitors to test their extra sensory abilities.
