The Domus holds a certain ‘mystical’ quality and is the perfect setting for a conference, dinner or one of our Medieval Banquets.
The Domus is part of The Abbey which is central to the history of Beaulieu. Founded 800 years ago by Cistercian Monks from France, the Abbey was destroyed by Henry VIII during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. This left only two buildings intact: the lay brothers’ dormitory, known as the Domus, and the Monks’ Refectory, now the Parish Church of Beaulieu.
It can cater for up to 130 guests and also offers the reception area of Cellarers Hall.
